Properties

DecodedSizeOctets

How many octets the part holds after its transfer encoding is decoded, measured by streaming and discarding the content. MIME declares no per-part length, so this is measured rather than read from a header, and the sum over a message's attachments does not equal the message size IMAP reports. A forwarded message/rfc822 part that arrived under a transfer encoding is decoded like any other part; one that arrived unencoded is measured as the parsed message writes itself, which matches the octets it arrived as while the sender used the CRLF line endings mail transport requires.

FileName

The normalized file name, or null when the part is unnamed.

MediaType

The part's media type, for example application/pdf.
